What is Dreadhaul?
An introduction to Dreadhaul, the core concept, the co-op extraction survival structure, and the vision behind the project.
Dreadhaul is a 4-player co-op extraction survival game developed by FirstLeak Games with Unreal Engine 5.
The game is built around compact raid instances instead of a large open-world city. Players prepare in the hub, select an operation, enter a dangerous interior location, collect valuable items, and return through the extraction vehicle.
The main pressure comes from time, team quota, loot decisions, limited carrying capacity, and escalating threats. The team must decide when to keep searching and when to leave.
Our goal is to create a dark, replayable co-op survival experience where teamwork and extraction decisions matter more than constant shooting.
